On 21 May 2024, Wemos, together with KEI, Health Action International (HAI), Innovarte, Medicines Law & Policy, UAEM and Afya na Haki, organized an informative webinar on the eve of the 77th World Health Assembly on the latest and most pressing developments in access to medicines in pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.

Speakers focused on the status of negotiations on the Pandemic Agreement and amendments to the International Health Regulations.

Leading experts and country representatives shared their views and opinions, including:- Jeffrey Valdez, representative of the Philippines – Emily Bleimund, representative of the United States – Astrid Dunselman, representative of the Netherlands – Maria Juliana Tenorio Quintero, representative of Colombia – James Love, director of Knowledge Ecology International (KEI) – Ellen ‘t Hoen, director of Medicines Law & Policy – Luis Villarroel Villalón, director of Innovarte.
