On March 22nd, NGO INNOVARTE met with Marisol Touraine, Chairwoman of Unitaid and former Minister of Solidarity and Health of France. On the occasion, perspectives were shared on the challenges of access to healthcare in Latin America, including those related to the production of medicines and vaccines.
NGO Innovarte thanked Unitaid for its support in promoting technical expertise for the adoption of public policies that favor the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in low- and middle-income countries.
Unitaid is a global health agency committed to finding innovative solutions to address major diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, among others. Most recently, the agency is using its experience in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.
