On March 2nd, 2023, NGO INNOVARTE co-organized with the National Institute of Health of Peru and AIS Peru, the second workshop seminar on “WHO C-TAP Platform as a mechanism to promote technologies”.
The event began with welcoming remarks by the Head of the National Institute of Health of Peru, Dr. Victor Suarez Moreno, and continued with a presentation by Erika Dueñas, Head of the Intellectual Property Unit of the World Health Organization’s Division of Access to Medicines and Health Products and current Coordinator of the COVID-19 Technology Access Pool (C-TAP), who addressed issues such as understanding what C-TAP is, how it works and how beneficial it can be for institutions to participate in the platform. The seminar then continued with an interesting presentation by Adriana Velásquez, Head of Medical Devices and Diagnostics of the World Health Organization.
Finally, to close the event, Leda Yamileé Hurtado Roca, Director General of the General Office of Research, offered closing remarks.
