Meeting with the Undersecretariat for International Economic Relations on the provision of public goods within the framework of the WTO

Innovarte and KEI held a fruitful meeting on June 4, 2024 with the Director General of Multilateral Economic Affairs, Ms. Marcela Otero, and the Head of the Intellectual Property Department, Mr. Felipe Ferreira, of the Undersecretariat of International Economic Relations. During the meeting, KEI, represented by its director, international expert James Love, and Luis Villarroel, director of Innovarte, presented a proposal for an agreement for the provision of public goods in the context of the World Trade Organization (WTO) with the objective of modeling the services agreement. This initiative could represent a significant contribution to address problems of public interest through unilateral voluntary commitments by WTO member countries.
